The Chelsea captain says that his team’s title chances are not yet over.
The Blues are 12 points behind Manchester United and have been written off by almost all the experts and pundits in England.
But the defender thinks that if they beat the current league leaders at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, then everything could change.
He used an example of how Manchester United made up a similar gap on Newcastle in 1996.
He explained: ”It’s been done. Man United did it to Newcastle many years ago.
“It’s possible and a little bit of pressure…”
The Chelsea camp is in a much better mood, following the 2-0 win over FC Copenhagen in the Champions League two days ago.
But they will have to beat the Red Devils next week to retain any hope of lifting the title in May.
