Arsenal manager has commented on Cesc Fabregas’ hamstring injury.
The Spaniard was clearly uncomfortableduring the 1-0 win over West Ham on Saturday afternoon but Arsene Wenger is hopefull that his captain has not had a setback.
Fabregas has just come back from the same knock and his boss revealed that he did worry about the player.
“Cesc played a bit within himself. He had a bit of tension in his hamstring. Let’s hope he has no setback,” Wenger said.
“At half-time, I had a hesitation to take him off.
“Then I left him on, I thought ‘just for 10 or 15 minutes’, but in the end he got better and better.”
After the game the midfielder admitted to feeling some discomfort in the muscle but was confident that he will be able to carry on playing in the games to come.
